Reasonable adjustments at OSCR
This page sets out how we help users who need assistance because of a disability or health condition.
Our services are designed to be accessible and easy to understand. We do know, however, that people with disabilities sometimes need our help and support to use our services. This means that we need to provide something different so you can access and use our services in the same way as a person without a disability. We call this a reasonable adjustment.
How to arrange a reasonable adjustment
Disabilities affect people differently, so we won’t always know what will help. If you have a disability that means you can’t access our online services and/or meet your responsibilities please get in touch with us. You can request help and support as a reasonable adjustment by phone or in writing.

British Sign Language (BSL)
Our British Sign Language plan (BSL plan) supports the Scottish Government’s national goal to make information and services across the public sector available to BSL users.
contactSCOTLAND-BSL is a Scottish Government funded online BSL interpreting video relay service (VRS) that allows Deaf BSL users to contact all of Scotland’s third sector organisations as well as all Scottish public bodies.
To make a call to a deaf person all you have to do is call contactSCOTLAND-BSL on 0131 510 4555 and ask for the person by name, or if known, their extension number. The online interpreter will then contact the user and relay the call.
